Saladin King Richard
Saladin is powerful, he managed to conquer much of the Crusader kingdom.
He is a strong believer of the rights of godly people but can become brutal towards anyone who does not follow his teachings or disobeys him. When he took over Jerusalem he did, however, allow the native Christians to stay and worship and invited Jews back to Jerusalem. Saladin is a good warrior and surprisingly fair however can be brutal to certain people who disobey him or fight against him. |
Richard is a skilled warrior and obviously very dedicated to his cause as when faced with the Muslims in Jerusalem he charged forward alone and cut a clean path through the opposition
When it comes to prisoners Richard is also ruthless, When Saladin failed to meet demands by the right time the king ordered 3000 prisoners to be executed even though he had been paid the ransom. Richard is obiously a ruthless man, although this is not uncommon in English kings as they are constantly trying to keep power especally as there was definite rivalry between many nobles for the crown with many battles fought over it. |
Overall Saladin seems more civil than his opponent yet can be VERY ferocious. He obviously believes in the rights of local people and other religions but still believes very strongly in his own.
King Richard, however, is a true warrior and will go to any lengths to get what he wants when he wants.
